The Connecticut Post reports that Bridgeport Mayor John Fabrizi, the man who seconded Joe Lieberman’s nomination for U.S. Senate at this year’s CT Democratic Convention, may be a cokehead.
I only paid attention to part of his speech at the convention, and while I disagree with his support for Senator Lieberman, I still got the impression that he was kind of a dickhead. Still, that’s no crime…but this is:
BRIDGEPORT — Accused druglord Juan Marrero told the FBI that Shawn Fardy, a Democratic Town Committee member indicted last week on narcotics conspiracy charges, said he had a video of Mayor John M. Fabrizi using cocaine.
The allegation against Fabrizi is contained in a FBI report of a July 7, 2005, interview with Marrero filed in federal court on Thursday.
Responding to the allegation, the Bridgeport mayor offered a confession to “poor choices,” but stopped short of admitting drug use.
Senator Lieberman, what is up with the company you keep? First, you’ve got the delirious Marion Steinfels claiming that Ned Lamont is a Republican. Second, you’ve got Sean Smith and his “low-information voter” strategy. Now you’ve got Mayor Fabrizi and his alleged bad habits. It’s time for a change!
