Boom Box Parade – Early Report

First, let me say that though ridiculously far away…the trip was worth it. The parade was well-attended, and there was a Connecticut Blogger float in this year’s Boom Box parade in Willimantic (maybe those two faces look familiar?). I marched most of the route with this Kiss float, taking video, enjoying the sun, and cursing the humidity. I got the impression that many people in Willimantic are Ned Lamont supporters, but it may have been due to some selective attention paid on my part.

Lots of bloggers were there to march with the kiss float, among them:

My fondest memory of today was when I encountered someone with a Lieberman sign (one of the few that I saw, actually), and asked him if he planned to support Joe as an independent. Fortunately, I got this encounter on tape and hope to post it by day’s end.

If you watch the news tonight (instead of just waiting for me to put it online for you at the Ned Lamont Resource), be sure to check NBC30 and WTNH. The NYTimes and Boston Globe also sent reporters to cover the parade.

More later, if I wake up in time to post.
