Chris Murphy Goes Positive on Johnson
I saw Chris Murphy yesterday at the CCSU candidates forum in New Britain (click here to view a highlight video of what he had to say), where he mentioned his television advertising debut. Incumbent Republican Congresswoman, Nancy Johnson, has taken to the airwaves with THREE ads attacking Murphy, so he could be forgiven for responding in kind.
Chris Murphy isn’t that kind of guy.
He’s taking the high road, and that’s one of many reasons I’m proud to support him. Take a look at his new television ad, and please give what you can to help keep it on the air–along with more positive messages.
The bottom line is that Nancy Johnson is well-funded. The Republicans know she’s vulnerable, and will pour significant resources into Connecticut to keep her in office. All eyes are on Connecticut this year, not only for the Senate Primary that’s right around the corner, but because we have three vulnerable Republican congresspersons. Electing Democrats Diane Farrell, Joe Courtney and Chris Murphy this year will signal a turn for the better that is long overdue.
