Ned Lamont to Attend Candidates Forum in New Britain

Update from NB Community News–There will be a forum Tuesday the 18th AND Wednesday the 26th, with candidates appearing at one or the other:

CORRECTION: Ned Lamont will appear on the 26th, but the forum on the
18th (tomorrow) is still on. From the organizers…

“Some candidates will appear on July 18, 2006 and others will appear on
July 26, 2006 at CCSU…July 18, 2006 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. (Torp Theater,
CCSU)…July 26, 2006 10:45 A.M. to 11:45 A.M. (Vance Academic Center,
CCSU)”

Also, Lamont is first on the list of speakers for the 26th, which will
begin at 10:45 rather than 11am.

More details later…

I originally posted that the candidates forum would be on Tuesday, July 18. Due to a scheduling conflict with the gubernatorial debate between Dan Malloy and John DeStefano the same night, the candidates forum has been pushed back to Wednesday July 26th at 11:00AM. New Britain Community News has the details:

The Educational Opportunity Program of CCSU reports that Ned Lamont, Democratic candidate for U. S. Senate, will appear at the candidate forum it is hosting at CCSU on July 26, 2006 at 11 am. Even though forum organizers have invited candidates for governor, other statewide officers and U.S. Congress, Lamont’s appearance less than two weeks out from the August 8th primary would generate great interest. The forum had been originally scheduled for the 18th.

I’m assuming that other candidates will attend, and believe that candidates for all offices from all parties were invited, but Ned Lamont gets top-billing. I’ll be there!
