New at the Ned Lamont Resource Blogosphere Day
Tim has a nice summary of blogosphere day up at the official Ned Lamont blog, but the big news this year is that Lamont will match online contributions dollar for dollar from here on out! Your contribution to Ned Lamont’s campaign is akin to you screaming at the top of your lungs that Connecticut deserves better. Your contribution to Ned Lamont’s campaign now that he’s matching donations is akin to you screaming at the top of your lungs that Connecticut deserves better–but into a megaphone.
Just as important as showing your support with a contribution is reaching out to your Family, Friends and Neighbors. I can’t emphasize enough how absolutely revolutionary this tool is. No other campaign has ever made it possible for supporters to log into a website, search for their Family, Friends and Neighbors in a database of registered voters,
and mail out a personalized postcard. Phone-banking is fun, door-knocking is good exercise and a great way to meet people (and as Maura points out in the link–to be a good neighbor during a heat wave), but let’s face facts: I’m online right now, you’re online right now, and the path of least resistance is Family, Friends and Neighbors.
