Dickie Goes to Greenwich
You may have seen a post here earlier, featuring a screenshot from the cover of this morning’s Meriden Record-Journal.
Well, the angry looking old dude in that picture with the Lieberman shirt on happens to be a Washington lobbyist and paid Lieberman staffer. Considering his behavior yesterday (which may have been forgivable since he was probably hungry–you know that he and the other Lieberman staffers filled up all the seats in a local business and didn’t order any food), Richard Goodstein is just an angry, angry man.
Watch CTBob’s video to see this bought-and-paid-for Washington lobbyist interrupt a Lamont supporter who is speaking to the media. Then, when he’s given a turn at the camera, watch him get really angry when people ask him about his behavior the day prior.
Oh, and keep in mind that this is an open-to-the-public campaign event for Ned Lamont. I think it’s pretty damn desperate when you’ve got to send your paid staffers volunteers to canvass and do visibility at your opponent’s events–because that’s where the Democrats are.
No manners are taught at lobby college I guess.
What’s weird about Goodstein is that this is a guy who made over $360K lobbying for his corporate clients last year. What in the world is he doing exposing himself in this way, running around with a bunch of young Lieberjerks? I would think he would be a little bit concerned about the consequences for his professional career. Here are some of his clients, perhaps they would be interested in knowing what their boy is doing when he is not shilling for them in Washington.

The tackiest thing is that they didn’t order any food. Not only goons, but cheap goons! And it seems to be a further reflection of that aristocratic thinking Joe suffers from — the “little people” are there to serve him, not the other way around. I’ll bet anything if Ned Lamont ever arranged to have his people meet in a restaurant for any reason, he’d make sure they bought some food. After all, he’s run a business himself, unlike Mr. Entitled.
