Ned Lamont is “On Point”
Today, Ned phoned in to WNPR’s program, “On Point” which is devoting its 11am to 12noon hour to the Lamont/Lieberman Senate Primary. Senator Lieberman, of course, snubbed the local radio host. I find it hard to believe that millionaire lawyer Joe Lieberman can’t afford seven minutes of his time to do a radio interview–though the host Tom Ashbrook and guest Bill Curry had nothing bad to say about Joe for not coming on.
It’s just one more example of million-dollar-baby Joe Lieberman railroading the local media.
Anyway, here are links to download Ned’s segment:

Update: Click here to download an mp3 of the full hour (commercials and news breaks cut, so the file isn’t actually 60 minutes long).
I hope to post an mp3 download of the entire hour (see update, above), a lot of great calls are coming in and McJoan from DailyKos is also a guest on the show.
Spazeboy, thanks for the link to the NPR piece. I listened to the whole thing while floating around the pool (aaah, the joys of housesitting in August!) As I posted at NedLamont.com, Ned sounded better than I’ve ever heard him. I’m not dissing his previous media appearances — they are, after all, what convinced me to vote for him. I’m just saying that his eloquence and authority were unquestionable.
Chew on that, Lieberman!
Thanks Spazeboy! Awaiting the entire hour, the last 10 minutes of which I heard on their stream. Great mcjoan smackdown of Marshall!
…and I’ll be at Zip’s Diner in Dayville today at 5:30. Boy, it’d be great if the “Kiss” float were there! (Take the Rt. 101 exit off 395, turn right off the ramp coming south, and go straight through the lights — you can’t miss it…)
I was glad to see that Colbert mentioned that Lieberman declined to appear on his TV show last night.
I’m headed for CT tomorrow to do some phone banking for Ned….
Got the full hour now. Invaluable you are S’Boy!
