Unity Conference
I just got back from the Unity Conference.
I’m proud to be a member of the Democratic party. Today, and going forward we’re all working together. My #1 focus has been to keep my little spotflashlight on Ned Lamont in hopes that he would eke out a victory on August 8.
He did it.
And today in Hartford, all the prominent elected Democrats (absent Rosa DeLauro, who is away on vacation and of course Joe Lieberman who’s still a Democrat on technicality) got together to endorse Ned Lamont for U.S. Senate and John DeStefano as the Democrats’ nominee for Governor of Connecticut.
I got there early, the presser started late, but I have an excellent video and will have some clips online soon. Spazeboy.net and the Ned Lamont Resource are going to move in a new direction, focusing solely on people-powered-media. Now that we’ve got the wind at our back–and since I happen to be one of the three prominent local bloggers with camcorder skillz–it’s time to make sure that every Democrat on the ticket wins big in November.
I’ve got school coming up in a few weeks, and taking a semester off is absolutely not an option. If anyone is interested, there are a few things I could use that would make videoblogging and covering all Democratic races a lot easier. Namely software for video editing–I think it’s time to upgrade to something a little better and that crashes less often–and possibly a better laptop or more capacity for the one I’ve got because editing on the road is going to be more important as this race continues. Please let me know if you see a good deal on any software or on a Macbook or something because I may be in the market.
Now, it’s off to lunch with my supportive and wonderful girlfriend and then a Unity Conference video that I promise is worth the wait.
Congrats on your guy winning! I saw it on the news a couple of days ago and thought of you. Good luck with your vidding and all that, I know you’ll do the best job possible!
I am so proud of you and your work and would like to contribute toward your equipment. Also, my son is away this evening but has lots of equipment, maybe software. But if he does not, please e-mail me so I cans support your work.
I live across the country but Connecticul has inspired me and made me proud again to be a Democrat.
