They said it couldn’t be done, but nothing is beyond the reach of My Left Nutmeg. Eat your heart out, Connecticut Bob. Getting Schlesinger to sit down for an interview was a coup. (Getting Lamont was no big deal. He’ll talk to anyone.)
But Joe Lieberman doesn’t talk to just anyone. In fact, he may be the only candidate in history to build a strategy around talking to as few people as humanly possible.
That is why, dispensing with my usual modesty, I am proud as punch to present this exclusive interview with Senator Joseph Lieberman. (No video. I’m an eighteenth century kinda guy.)
My Left Nutmeg: First of all, Senator Lieberman, thank you for agreeing to this interview. I guess it’s no secret that My Left Nutmeg is, shall we say, part of your opposition.
So the Lieberman line to getting re-elected is “Working across party lines to get things done for CT”.
Ok, that works, but it reminds me of something, hmmm what could it be,…..OH! Don Rumsfeld dodging the press at every chance he gets! Gee, Lieberman not only works across party lines, but definately gets to use their tricks since he supports the republicans so much.
