Love Makes a Family

I received a letter today from Love Makes a Family, asking for my financial support. I can’t afford to give now, but I want to do is help to spread the word in the hopes that one or more of my generous readers is looking for a worthy cause.

Take a look at the list of candidates that the Love Makes a Family PAC endorsed this year, and you’ll see quite a few victories (note that as a state level PAC that they cannot endorse federal candidates, which is why you don’t see Chris Murphy, Ned Lamont, Joe Courtney, etc.). As the letter I received says, Connecticut is “one of the most LGBT friendly states in the country,” but “our work is not yet complete…same sex couples still remain second-class citizens because we are denied the right to marry.”

It’s important to work toward greater equality, and Love Makes a Family is a local grassroots organization where your contribution can go a long way toward making a difference right here in the land of steady habits.
