Tagaris Breaks it Down

I myself said that I think there’s a race after an election like the one last week to define its significance. Tim Tagaris (Internet Director for Ned Lamont for U.S. Senate 2006) breaks down what really happened between August 8 and November 7.

It’s long. It’s honest. It’s worth reading in its entirety.

And while you do, keep in mind that you’ll never see anything like this out of the Lieberman campaign. That’s a shame, because it would be interesting (to me at least) to know what was going on in the heads of Sean Smith and Marion Steinfels as Lieberman’s campaign imploded on August 8.

Tim’s is not a tale of implosion. Tim’s diary is a courtesy to all of us. Every supporter who invested fully in the campaign (in spirit and emotion, not necessarily $$) wants to have a little bit of closure. We’re lucky to have it.

Go have a look.

You know, its things like this that I just read that make me question my party a lot, especially some events that have happened to me outside of the town committee. I’m a Dem all the way, but we need to get our priorities straight and figure out what exactly our framework should be and we all embody as a whole otherwise unity is a hard target to achieve.

The Tagaris diary was very important, as it showed the true faces of some senior democrats. I am still very upset for Ned’s loss, and I have hard time understanding how could Connecticut send back to the senate someone like Lieberman.
