Trinity Blogging
No. Not some holy trinity.
I had a good time at tonight’s class. I’m interested in learning a little bit more about how blogging compares to the romantic movement in literature, a topic on which I’ve clearly demonstrated my ignorance by referencing (and now posting) Fabio.
Also, check Kirsten’s blog, Wandering Kirsten Estranged Love (whatever the title is). She’s in the class, and since I dig the pop-culture off-topic random stuff she’s posted I want to drive traffic to her corner of the WWW. Plus she’s from the midwest–not too many of us flyover state people make it to CT.
Professor McEnroe assigned something for students to blog about, on the topic of their relationship to information. Since I’m a bit of a grade-grubber I’ll probably turn something in.
Update: In the comments here and at her blog, Caitlin clears the air. Lucky for me, I knew what she meant by “romantic literary movement” but didn’t know a lot about it. I do now. I also now know exactly to whom I’ll write when I have a question about said movement.
Hullo, Spazeboy…whose real name escapes me. Check it.

(yes–link copied and pasted because I’m a bit of a technological fuckwit who doesn’t know HTML code for hyperlinking).
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you’re not plagued with horrible, horrible heartburn from The Bistro’s scalded coffee.
Haha. Okay, Spazeboy.
I suppose I took that too seriously. It was funny–just I was worried that some members of the class perceived me to be making references to Harlequin romance novels and Danielle Steele bodice-rippers (grin).
By the by–I’m still not certain about the etiquette of comment conversations, so I’m posting this to both my blog and yours (Livejournal always conveniently let me post wherever and sent me stalkerish emails notifying me of when my comment was commented upon).
Anyhow, thanks for reading! Thanks for being fascinated! I love when my status as an esoteric and cripplingly analytical English Lit major is well received.
Stay gangsta.
Oh my God. I should be repeatedly punched in the throat for my emoticon abuse. (*gag*)
Hi! Thanks for linking my blog. Hopefully I’ll get some new readers. I’m going to write a post about the name to clear up the confusion (I usually tell people the link from Colin because they get confused, lol). I’m really glad you came to the class. It’s always interesting to meet bloggers…you get to match up a real person to the text. I’ll definitely be visiting your blog again soon! Take care. ~Kirsten
Post-Modern or Neo-Romanticism blogging?…
Last night, I attended Colin McEnroe’s Class on Blogging. It was partly a debrief for people after the Lamont campaign, yet it was also another chance to talk about the wild wild west of the internet and whether or not bloggers are journalists or no…
I would encourage you to check out my long blog post on this at Greater Democracy
I’d take your current icon over Fabio any day. He’s much cuter.
