Phantom Limb

I’m travelling to Iowa today, and as such will be offline for at least the duration of the 20 hour drive. You may not believe this, but we have high speed internet and indoor plumbing out in the red states, so I’ll put up something on Friday (maybe a picture from my trip).

To occupy your readin’ eyes, I’m throwing up a quick post promoting the new single from The Shins’ forthcoming album, Wincing the Night Away so I can focus on packing.

Here’s an excerpt from the lyrics to Phantom Limb, that if you wanted to interpret it in such a way, could apply to the trip I’m taking to my mother’s house in Iowa for x-mas:

And the milk from the window lights,

This is that foreign land,

Beats circus slime,

So, when they tap our mundane heads,
