What Would You Ask Ned Lamont?

I am awful at coming up with good questions for interviews and things. That’s why in nearly everything I’ve ever videoblogged, I let the subject speak for his or her self. It’s why I stumbled through a very important question for Joe Lieberman (that I’m glad to have gotten on the record, in light of recent developments which you can read about here, here, here, here, here and here).

OK, back to the point. Very soon I’ll have an opportunity to ask Ned Lamont a few questions. You might think that I would have a laundry list of questions for the man–I don’t. Well, not really anyway. Here’s what I want to know:

  • Would you still run if you could go back and do it all over again?
  • What did Joe Lieberman say to you on stage at the debate in New London? Did he really call you a goddamn sonofabitch?

See, now I’m out of steam. Plus, if Ned still reads blogs (he probably has better taste than to read this one) then he’s going to be prepared to answer these questions.

Do me a favor and write in the comments (or an e-mail) what questions you would ask.

I asked him about the “goddamn sonofabitch” comment a few days after the debate, and this is what he said:

I’m hoping now that the election is over he’ll feel more free to speak his mind.

Though you didn’t win, what do you think you accomplished by running?

Talk about some days when you really enjoyed campaigning.

What lessons did you learn along the way or in retrospect that you will apply if you run again or that you can share with other candidates?

Would you completely rule out running against Chris Shays?

How is your coffee? No, really.
