Wi-Fi at the Capitol?!
New Britain State Representative Tim O’Brien writes:
I am taking advantage of the State Capitol’s new wi-fi internet access (which, by the way, is available to members of the public) to write you an update while I sit in the audience of hearing room 2C listening to the Energy and Technology Committee panel discussion on electric deregulation.
The whole post is a great one about electric deregulation, but what piqued my interest was the bit about wi-fi. If there is now publicly accessible wireless broadband internet access available throughout the Capitol Building and Legislative Office Building, I think it’s time for a blogger day in Hartford.
As a blogger himself, I’m sure that Rep. O’Brien would welcome us.
Thanks for the compliment.
I think that a blogger day at the Capitol would be a great idea. If it happens, let me know when.
Of course, the wi-fi should also make it easier for live blogging. For bloggers with the time, it would be a great thing to have going on when big things are in progress at the Capitol. No need for a special bloggers’ room! Bring your wireless-capable laptop and any public room at the Capitol complex is a bloggers’ room.
And, of course, I will certainly post things to my blog, when I have a free moment or two, about things that I see happening.
This is just a shot in the dark, but..
Does the name Mark Catalina ring a bell?
Terrence,
No, it does not.
