Healthcare For All - “We Can’t Afford Not To” Part 1 of 3
CT, Health Care, Video Posts May 25th, 2007I was alerted to a series of videos on YouTube that were produced as a show for Cox cable subscribers on the subject of universal health care. I just watched one of them, and will say that if you like Robert Greenwald documentaries, you’ll like this. The video below is part one, and clocks in at just over 8 and 1/2 minutes.
If you only watch one video on YouTube today, watch this one. The end of the 2007 legislative session in Connecticut is drawing near, and with Democrats holding a veto-proof majority there is no good reason why a plan for comprehensive/universal/single-payer health care that covers every single person in this state has not been put to a vote.
As progressive local hero Maura (featured in the video above) says, “If not now, when?”
So take a few minutes this holiday weekend to contact your legislators about universal health care and ask them, “If not now, when?”
