Pros of Trinity College
I’m still weighing my decision, and because I haven’t got anything else to write today (other than to report that TParty linked Chris Dodd to Billy Corgan in six degrees), I wanted to put up a list of the things I really like about Trinity College. The list is in no particular order, and is not to be considered comprehensive.
Most people, when faced with a big choice like this, will make a list of pros and cons. I really don’t see any cons worth listing for either Trinity or Wesleyan.
Pros of Trinity College
- Proximity to the Capitol — I’ll be good and close when crap like this goes down, and hilarity ensues
- Colin McEnroe’s Blogging Class — I would finally be able to learn how to do this shit
- The Individualized Degree Program — Everything I need, handled through one office. That’s service!
- The financial aid offer — No way I can afford this on my salary
- The IDP Lounge — A place for the non-traditional commuter students like myself to hang out, lock up our stuff, and bond with our peers
- Cinestudio! — I remember going to the Gay and Lesbian film festival at Cinestudio within five days of my arrival from Iowa. Oh how I’ve grown!
- #30 liberal arts college in the U.S.
Look for a Wesleyan list tomorrow.
Okay here’s one for you…. IDP Transitional Seminar, A Journey to Venice, taught this fall by Professor Diane Zannoni. I took it and made lifelong friends with fellow IDP-ers. AND… We went to Venice, an experience of a life time. Best professor ever, who will push you to great heights and teach you how to succeed at Trinity.
Please give serious thought this wonderful course. Even though I was an American Studies major the course had incalculable value.
Trinity College IDP Class of 2003
Yeah but Trinity doesn’t get put down on the Daily Show.
Trinity professors and classes are awesome. Really. I was an visiting student for two semesters there this academic year and loved it. Regular students are sometimes too preppy but IDP students are amazing, I made friends with some of them.
