Trinity College
Earlier today I received a call from Denise Best at Trinity College. She wanted to personally inform me that I’ve been accepted to the Individualized Degree Program. So…
TRINITY COLLEGE ACCEPTED ME!
I’m going to wait until I hear from both schools before I make a decision but can you believe that
TRINITY COLLEGE ACCEPTED ME!?
I’m officially going to be attending a top 30 liberal arts school. Not many people come from Iowa, start college at age 24 and find themselves at Trinity. I’m proud of myself, what can I say.
Thank you for indulging me with this self-congratulatory post.
Update: Below is my acceptance letter to Trinity College, and you can click here to view my acceptance letter from Wesleyan University.

Congratulations Spazeboy! I am so damn proud of you.
Woo hoo! That is so great, Spazeboy. It’s pretty amazing that they called you personally to tell you that you have been accepted. It’s, like, unheard of. Obviously they recognize your potential as much as your fans here in the blogosphere do!
Congrats!
Beau: Congratulations on your acceptance into the IDP program.
You’ll be a lecturer in McEnroe’s blogging class in no time!
Great news! Congratulations, Beau. (If the Wes admissions office has any brains at all they’ll do the same, and soon.)
Nice work, college boy! I guess you get to buy the beer tomorrow night!
Congratulations!
Gosh, Spazeboy! May I call you that? I’m so thrilled! I’ve been blogged!
We believe in the personal touch here; doesn’t everyone? We truly hope that you will choose to study with us here in the IDP at Trinity.
I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Peace,
Denise
Don’t knock ’starting’ at 24. I think Luke Skywalker was about your age when he left Tatooine CC. He never thought moisture farming would lead to anything big but look how that turned out. Tunxis CC, Tatooine CC – it’s all good if the force is with you.
Congrats, Spazeboy! As a retired Community College faculty member (Manchester), I’m always thrilled by success stories like yours. I’m so damn proud of you!
Hooray for Spazeboy!
If you go to Trinity – which I think you should because Hartford needs a guy like you – make sure you meet Joe Barber, the director of Civic Engagement.
Over at CTLocalPolitics today, a debate has been about free college tuition. May it someday happen…at private schools, too.
Good luck, and I hope to see you in Hartford in the fall.
