Well, I’m pleased with myself and will have some good news to report when I call spazemom tomorrow (by the way, she can’t stop talking about how great you people are).
12 days ago I was also accepted to Trinity College, and have updated that post with a scan of their acceptance letter.
Unfortunately, I also received a letter today from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, informing me that I was not selected to receive one of their undergraduate transfer scholarships. The silver lining of that rejection is that it frees me up to attend Yearly Kos. Had I received the Jack Kent Cooke scholarship, I’d have been required to attend their scholars weekend in Washington D.C. August 2-5, the same dates as YKos. The downside is that I can’t get the early-bird registration special.
I still can’t believe I have to choose between Wesleyan and Trinity! In any case, I will try to put up a post on the Pros of each school (I can’t find any Cons about either) sometime this coming week.

If you can’t get get the cabbage to go to the YearlyKos Convention you might want to check out the Personal Democracy Forum in NYC next weekend with Craig Newmark, Lawrence Lessig, Yochai Benkler, Nancy Scola, Peter Daou, and….Thomas Friedman. Matt Stoller will be there too to give Friedman a wedgie.
