Chris Dodd Tours Iowa

Being from Iowa, I can assure you that a tour of the state is not an exciting vacation. Still, I can’t help but be a little jealous of all the attention my home state gets every for years during the run-up to the caucuses. This is especially so after all the attention paid to Connecticut during the Democratic Senate Primary last year. What are we now, chopped liver? No, we’re just not an early primary or caucus state.

Anyway, the Dodd Campaign is showing some love to Iowa, doing a river to river tour that started over at the mighty Mississippi River side of Iowa, in Burlington on Tuesday and ends up on the muddy Missouri River side of Iowa, in Council Bluffs on Saturday.

Check out this Google map tracking the route from town to town in consecutive tour order.

The video below is from Chris Dodd’s stop in Coralville, where he took questions about Iraq.

Hi, Spazeboy. Just stopping by. I watched the video and wondered why we (I include myself here) just aren’t embracing Dodd a bit more.
I mean, aside from an eerie physical resemblance to Newt Gingrich, what’s not to like?
