Friday Five – Ask a Pumpkin

Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlin of the Smashing Pumpkins are soliciting questions. You ask ’em, and if they’re approved, the Smashing Pumpkins will answer them.

From the video description:

Tips for a good question to Ask A Pumpkin?

— Keep it simple and direct, questions should be under 30 seconds.
— Be original – ask them whatever is on your mind. Anything, go ahead.
— The Pumpkins want to see and hear you — zoom in, camera steady and let your voice be heard loud and clear.
— Final questions are selected by the Smashing Pumpkins.
— All questions are subject to YouTube’s terms of service.

It sounds to me like they favor questions asked via video–and if you’re stumped at all on how to put together a video, I’ve got a beginner’s guide to videoblogging to plug. Spazeboy’s Guide to Political Videoblogging is actually pretty multi-purpose. If you want to post a video to the “Ask a Pumpkin” group on YouTube, this section will help you the most.

And a very special Friday Five on the flip. All five videos are Smashing Pumpkins songs, performed live.
