One year ago today, on August 8, 2006, we won. Ned Lamont’s victory over incumbent Iraq War cheerleader Joe Lieberman signaled to Democratic challengers all over this nation that they could run on a platform of peace and win.
Take a day and reflect. My Left Nutmeg is having a Ned Lamont Nostalgia day today, and I urge you to stop by and share your memories.

My video from Primary Night:
Connecticut Bob and Kirby were a formidable team on Primary Day, and you will want to take a look at the Primary Day blog that Bob set up to put all of their posts from that day into chronological order.

Hi, Spazeboy! This is Maura and Aldon at the CEA convention. We’re doing a workshop on political blogging and we are reading and appreciating your blog!
And what a year it’s been!
It’s been a real pleasure, Spaze; I’m looking forward to seeing the trouble we’ll cause in ‘08 and ‘10!
Beau — this is the real Maura, now.
LOVED your video. You did such an amazing editing job — you really pulled together some choice quotes and captured the spirit of the night.
And when Chris Donovan introduced the Democratic nominee for Senate, I cried all over again, smiling and laughing through tears. Such a great night!!! Brilliant, brilliant video.
A Year ago, I didn’t know anyone.. and wondered who those nerdy folks were with the cameras… Now.. I miss you all, and wish I could only be more like yall! Either way, I’m ready to work on the Noriega for Texas campaign..! I’m trying to get a spot on staff.. I’ll let ya know how it goes!
