Subscribe to My Feed, Win a Shirt!?

<UPDATE> [2008-01-07]: I still haven’t even come close to 130 subscribers, so I’m giving the shirts away without having reached my goal. Click here for details.</UPDATE>

Look at my Feedburner chicklet over there on the sidebar. Right now it says I have 71 readers. That’s not bad, though I think I can do better. I have a plan to encourage you to subscribe to the feed: give stuff away to feed subscribers!

I went to YearlyKos 2007 and picked up a lot of awesome swag. The coolest things I got were these two American Apparel t-shirts:

This is the SIZE LARGE NAVY BLUE shirt I got from Media Matters:

This is the SIZE MEDIUM BLACK shirt I got from Brave New Films:

Here’s how you can get your pick of the shirts, mailed to you at my expense:

  1. Subscribe to my Feedburner Feed using your favorite RSS reader
  2. Check the footer messages in my feed. These messages will not be visible to people who read the blog directly. Only people who subscribe to the feed will see these messages.
  3. After 130 people have subscribed to my Feedburner feed, I will put special instructions in the footer message on how to get one of the two shirts.
  4. Be the first person to follow the instructions, and have your pick of the two shirts.
  5. The remaining shirt will be given to a respondent chosen at random.

These shirts are men’s sizes, and you can view the American Apparel sizing chart here to see which of the two will fit you best.

That is a sneaky cool reader trick you have in there. Is it feeding out random links or do you have to change it manually? Just curious… Or do you even know it is doing that? lol jk
