Fall 2007 Courses I’m Taking at Wesleyan

All summer long eagerly awaited the start of my first semester at Wesleyan. Ever since I started spreading the news that I’d been accepted, people I know have been asking me a question that until now I could not answer: What classes are you taking?

Finally, here is the answer:

  • American Political Economy
  • Nationalism
  • Introduction to Economics
  • Introductory Physics I

The first two will satisfy requirements for the Government major. The Intro to Economics class is something I thought I should learn something about — I seriously think it will be interesting. Physics is the last course I need to satisfy my fulfillment of the Level II general education expectations.

I wrote up some general impressions of my orientation/first day experience at Wesleyan that I posted for Wesleying, so if you’re interested you can check it out here. I also audio recorded the speech given by Wesleyan’s new President Michael Roth, but did not post it at Wesleying because for some reason there are bits of audio cut out (I recorded it on my iPod with a Griffin iTalk attachment). Still, it’s relatively listenable and since nobody reads this anyway, I may as well post it here:

Great speech, eh? Did you know he blogs too?

I’m excited for you as you start at Wesleyan. I’m not taking a class this semester but I’ll be down there for various readings/events. Hope to bump into you.
