People-Powered Politics: Bridgeport Debate Tonight!

Tonight is the My Left Nutmeg / Fairfield County Weekly debate between Democratic Bridgeport mayoral candidates Chris Caruso and Bill Finch at the Playhouse on the Green. This debate is uniquely people-powered, with regular bloggers (notably Maura, Matt, CTBlogger, CTBob, CGG and myself) collaborating and collecting questions from regular people on the streets of Bridgeport. Below is one of the questions I helped record back on August 26th:

Lennie Grimaldi writes about the upcoming debate for the Fairfield County Weekly:

The Finch versus Caruso race has been tame as city elections go, the rhetoric certainly apparent but not the flame-throwing accusations that so often accompany the blood-and-guts world of city elections.
Finch, as the party-endorsed candidate, has focused his campaign on issues such as education, economic development and taxes. Caruso, for his part, has drawn a line in the sand with one central issue: the need to power-wash special interests and the politically entrenched that he says have stalled city progress.

[...]

Rather than ply readers with exhaustive biographies on the candidates in the days leading up to the primary, the Weekly has decided to take a novel approach in our presentation of campaign information: the candidates will actually share views on issues. We’ve asked both Finch and Caruso similar questions related to economic development, education, ethics in government and building alliances. We present these questions and their views for your consideration side-by-side.
