Extended Battery

Your camera came with a battery, but it’s wimpy. You definitely want to get a second one, and if possible your second one should be an extended life battery. So what kind of camera did you buy? Take the model number, visit the manufacturer’s website, and check out how much they charge for extended life batteries. Whoa, right? Before you make a purchase, take the model number and do a search for the model number and the word “battery” on eBay. Whoa again—but this time it’s a good whoa! Carefully choose a seller—it’s up to you to find someone you’re comfortable purchasing from—and get yourself an extended life battery. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with buying a brand name battery from the manufacturer if you can afford it, but why not buy one on eBay and use the money you saved to buy some of the other things you’ll need.
